Our Services

> Chiropractic
Chiropractic focuses on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, with special emphasis on the spine. We emphasize manual therapy including spinal manipulation and other joint and soft tissue manipulation.
> Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is a dynamic profession with an established theoretical and scientific base and widespread clinical applications in the restoration, maintenance, and promotion of optimal physical function.  Physical therapists diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities and also prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments and functional limitations.

ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.
> Graston Technique
Graston Technique breaks down and releases scar tissue. The technique utilizes patented stainless steel instruments, uniquely shaped, to treat different areas of the body. This technique reduce or eliminates adhesions, restoring function and eliminating pain.
> Acupunture
Acupuncture provides pain relief and/or treats illness through insertion of tiny needles at specific points on the body that correspond to meridian points.  We do both western and eastern philosophy acupuncture.  Western acupuncture works by trying to reset specific receptors in the muscle belly or tendon called "spindles". These spindles become hypertonic or spasmotic with splinting mechanisms.  For example, when you break your arm
all of the surrounding muscles will go into spasm trying to protect the arm.  By putting in an acupuncture needle into the muscle, the spindle actively grabs the needle and "resets" the receptor, returning it back to it's initial resting tone.  Eastern acupuncture works by balancing out the energy that flows through pathways or "meridians" within the body. By placing needles into specific points, you can increase or decrease energy flow through the body.
tpi The Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) is a series of 7 full-body movement tests designed to assess fundamental patterns of movement such as bending and squatting in those with known musculoskeletal pain. When the clinical assessment is initiated from the perspective of the movement pattern, the clinician has the opportunity to identify meaningful impairments that may be seemingly unrelated to the main musculoskeletal complaint, but contribute to the associated disability. This concept, knows as Regional Interdependence, is the hallmark of SFMA.
tpi Put simply, the FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness.
The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which is used to target problems and track progress. The scoring system is directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically sound movement patterns.
Exercise professionals monitor the FMS score to track progress and to identify those exercises that will be most effective to restore proper movement and build strength in each individual.
> TPI Certified
tpi The TPI  analysis system is a comprehensive program which includes our certified doctors video taping your golf swing, then breaking down and analyzing your movement patterns and swing faults to change each patients bio mechanical dysfunctions.  We then go through a detailed physical exam checking your range of motion, restrictions, weaknesses, and injuries to determine where we need to focus our treatment.  We will then customize a specific program for each individuals needs by changing these bio-mechanical problems with your swing and your bodies movement patterns with treatment, conditioning, and rehabilitation, so you can play to the best of your ability.
> Orthotics
Orthotics- We make custom orthotics to meet every patient's needs.  We can make orthotics for ski boots, running , rugby, football, hiking, cross country skiing, golf, tennis, and walking.  We use 5 different labs and will choose the lab that best fits the needs of each individual patient.  Using non-weight bearing molds or casts, we place the foot in subtalar neutral, which is where the foot is most efficient, and make the mold for the lab.  Then we will do a pedograph to find out what type of pressure the patient places upon their foot with walking.  Finally we do a comprehensive biomechanical evaluation on each patient. We have made orthotics for Wimbledon champions and US ski team athletes.
> Biomechanical Evaluations
Biomechanical evaluations start by going over each patient's range of motion starting at the foot and moving up the entire kinetic chain.  We compare the patients ranges of motion to normal ranges of motion then give them the appropriate stretches, exercises, or proprioceptive drills to improve their range of motion, strength, balance, or proprioception.  We address each patient's complaint, but also look at their surrounding structures to address any compensation as well.
> Pilates
Pilates focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support from the spine.  Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.
> Sport Performance
Sports Performance Training is a scientifically based clinical approach to treating the athlete.  It is not only treatment of the injured athlete, but identification of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular defecits of which the athlete is unaware.
> Advanced Rehabilitation
Advanced rehabilitation programs are higher level programs which are designed by our therapists and done under the our supervision initially and then become more self-directed.  These include home exercise programs or programs done with our therapists or trainers in a gym setting.
> Back and Neck Rehabilitation
Back and neck rehabilitation includes treatment of headaches, whiplash injuries, neck and low back pain, disc problems, etc..
> Extremity Rehabilitation
Extremity rehabilitation includes treatment of multiple injuries including rotator cuff injuries, elbow tendonitis, carpal tunnel, knee and hip injuries, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis, etc..
